PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (ITDC) has officially launched two new premier attractions at The Golo Mori, located in Komodo District, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The two programs, which officially became available to the public on Sunday, July 20, 2025, are a cultural dance performance called “The Legend of Golo Mori Hill” and a premium culinary experience called “Nuka Grillfest.”
These programs were first introduced at a Travel Agent Gathering on October 12, 2024, and will now be held regularly every Sunday at the Golo Mori Convention Center (GMCC) and the Nuka Beach Club.
“Today marks a significant moment for us as we begin the first activation and commercialization of The Golo Mori’s unique attractions. By integrating local art, culture, and cuisine, we want to present an authentic experience that enriches the journey of our visitors,” said Aji Munarwiyanto, General Manager of The Golo Mori, following the program launch on Sunday evening.
Aji explained that the launch of these two attractions aims to strengthen The Golo Mori’s appeal as a Marine-Based MICE Tourism destination. Additionally, these programs are expected to provide authentic experiences based on local art and cuisine, foster collaboration with the community, and create opportunities for the growth of the creative economy.
“With these two flagship programs now active, The Golo Mori is optimistic that it can attract more tourists and industry partners to explore the authentic, inclusive, and globally competitive tourism potential at the heart of Labuan Bajo,” Aji added.
Both programs are scheduled to take place every Sunday. The “The Legend of Golo Mori Hill” dance performance is held from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM WITA at the Teno Amphitheater GMCC. Meanwhile, “Nuka Grillfest” runs from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM WITA at the Nuka Beach Club.
Visitors will need to purchase tickets to attend. A ticket for the dance performance costs Rp 150,000 per person, which includes access to the area, a snack, and a soft drink. A ticket to enjoy the seaside BBQ dinner is priced at Rp 350,000 per person and covers all menu items.
“Tickets can be ordered via the official GMCC WhatsApp, through several partner hotels in Labuan Bajo and travel agents, or purchased on-the-spot at the GMCC,” concluded Aji.
